Salary:                                    Starting salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience and will range from £19680 - £28,780 per annum (pro rata for part time). (Head of Year Allowance 2 points £1000 per annum)

We are looking for a qualified teacher of Humanities (Geography and History) and Head of Year to join our successful team from April 2019. The successful candidate will work in a caring and energetic school with distinctive ethos. You will be required to teach Geography and History classes at KS3 and specialist subjects at KS4 and will be expected to contribute to maintaining the high standards of this successful department. Ability to teach English as a second subject is an advantage. Established experience as a Form tutor will be a requirement for the Head of Year role.

K D (Kassim Darwish) is an independent Grammar School for 150 boys aged 11-16 situated in South Manchester. Although comprehensive in intake, its results are exceptionally high. In the GCSE Performance tables, the school features consistently amongst the highest performing boys’ schools in Manchester.  With small class sizes of around 15 students, teachers have the opportunity to enable each boy to reach his full potential.  KD is a faith school, with a caring inclusive ethos based on Islamic values, open to students of all backgrounds. Additional leave for Ramadhan, Eid and the Day of Arafat. Chorlton is a vibrant area and has easy access to the tram and bus station.
